A Toast; ‘TO MEMORIES, LIVING, AND THE FUTURE:20’
It’s funny. At the start of the year, I literally had no plans or resolutions. All I had was faith and a ‘partnership deal with Danger.’
However, it’s interesting to say how profitable my faith and ‘partnership deal with danger’ has paid off from January to now. With March being the most prolific and memorable among the months gone by. As it birthed the publication of my first book and poetry collection, From Everest on the 26th day. And the year only got better from thence.
Now, in less than a fortnight from today, I’ll turn 20. [Yes, it’s my birthday on the 26th], and I’m stunned by the realization that I’ve lived two whopping decades on the face of the earth.
Thus, I do have a story to tell. And I’ve done just that in my new book, To Memories, Living And The Future: 20, which is getting published on that same day.
‘To memories, living and the future: 20’, is a memoir, that tells my story post-2017 up to 2021. In it, are experiences of my struggles and challenges, and how I was able to overcome them. And also my projections into the future as I turn 20. It’s a book consisting of opinions, lessons, letters, and poems, among others.
In [writing] this book, I’ve directly and indirectly referenced many known and unknown people. I’ve captured a part of my life’s story in it and have also kept some information out of its lines and pages for personal reasons.
Maybe. Just maybe. I might write about them some other time after now and at different times in posts, or series, or maybe I’ll just do a sequel– through my dark season. Maybe.
There is a lot more in this book than I could tell you. So all I’m just going to do is wish you a pleasant read (in advance), friend.
And cheer a toast to making history; to memories, living, and the future.
