More Praises for ‘TO MEMORIES, LIVING AND THE FUTURE: 20’
Hmmmmm….Bolu + Tife….twale for you my guy!
Truthfully, I had a hard time settling into this book because I didn’t understand its kind, you know, and I was bored kind of. So I decided to come back to it later.
You know when they say never judge a book by its cover, na wetin happen be that.
The book is all in one. I love stories, so I enjoyed the story parts and while going through the poems, my head just dey swell because they were well constructed.
Reading through this book made me feel like I was on ‘tush English road’, no pot-hole rara. I heart you big time bro and I covet your writing skills.Ti’oluwanimi Shobayo [Life Coach]
There were so many relatable experiences for me in this book: waiting for admission, watching those you ‘senior’ race pass you in the journey of life, the uncertainties and the heart-wrenching worry whether or not things would improve. I’ve been there, and though I am a number of years past 20, sometimes I still feel myself getting sucked into the worries, the fear of whether things would improve or not, the anxiety. But thank GOD for good friends and people, who are there to hold our hands through the highs and lows…the unending ebbs of life, just like those that Bolu mentioned through this memoir.
I’ll say becoming 20 is a milestone. However, life can be so full of ups and downs, and those milestones seem to be pointers to the many things we have not been able to achieve. To enjoy our milestones , we need to learn to take things ‘one step at a time’…go through the process, enjoy the experiences…then and only then are these milestones worth celebrating.
Bolu has done a great job on this. I like the flow of prose with poetry and the masterful way he weaves the words to describe experiences that one can imagine with the mind’s eye.
I also like the simplicity of the writing style and the many lessons one can pick up in 20 years. Well done Boluwatife!

“Bolu, “To Memories, Living and the Future: 20” is a beautiful read.” Your life journey is colourful and inspiring. I loved this memoir because it accentuated the reality of the seasons of life-the good and the not-so-good. Being able to share this experience is proof that, as long as there is a past, there will always be a future and a story. I’m particularly impressed that the fabric of your journey is laced with God and you’re not ashamed to show us this side of you. If ever there was a time for anyone to read this, it will be now. So, my letter to you, Bolu, is to keep sharing, open your heart to love, learn, unlearn, and relearn, and dare to be — the world is your podium, stand tall, chin raised, and do the unimaginable.
