PREACHER MAN, HAVE SOME FAITH! (A Poem)
I heard the story of a man
sent by God to bring the word to a people.
Sunday, Wednesday, and every other day
he stands behind a lectern
to declared that which the good Lord has for them.
For he is to comfort the people-
to rejoice with those that rejoice,
mourn with those that mourn-
& never to be found slacking in duty.
Of this man, I heard the story
that his wife took in and bore him a son,
an heir, who saw it fun to stop by earth in a few
and then return to his maker
that he may see if this man sent of God will fault in his assignment.
But of this man sent by God did I hear
that in his pain and mourning,
In the morning, he stood before the people,
and brought the good Lord’s message to them.
Dear Preacher man, have some faith!
